After 25 years in Northern Brittany, Nick now lives in West Suffolk. ‘Pure Malt’ is his first novel, after a lifetime in music, theatre and education. He is a songwriter, a folk musician, notably with the duo, Morsgael, Irish music, and a retired Drama and English teacher.

Nick has previously spent considerable amounts of time in West Cork, the Isle of Lewis, and in Aberystwyth. He has two daughters from his first marriage to Hilary – Jenny Palmer, a successful Barrister, and Phillipa Malicka, a writer, whose debut novel In Her Defence was published recently in Europe and the USA.
