Colin Oliphant
Born and raised in Southampton, Colin started his working life in 1967 as an apprentice to a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Company. In 1983 he decided to follow his family tradition and set up a building company with his wife Linda, which they still operate today along with their son Christopher.
When their children were young, he would make up stories about foxes and other wild animals, off the cuff, and Linda would tell him to write them down, but he never did.
Colin contracted covid in early 2020 and it was during night sweats that a story began to grow in his head, which he did write down. That was the Stonehenge Orb. Now he has completed and published 5 books with more to come.
Colin recently received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for his local charity work from King Charles.
