About The Author

Colin Oliphant

Colin Oliphant

Born and raised in Southampton, Colin started his working life in 1967 as an apprentice to a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Company. In 1983 he decided to follow his family tradition and set up a building company with his wife Linda, which they still operate today along with their son Christopher.

When their children were young, he would make up stories about foxes and other wild animals, off the cuff, and Linda would tell him to write them down, but he never did.

Colin contracted covid in early 2020 and it was during night sweats that a story began to grow in his head, which he did write down. That was the Stonehenge Orb. Now he has completed and published 5 books with more to come.

Colin recently received a British Empire Medal (BEM) for his local charity work from King Charles.

1912: David and Emily Woods board the RMS Titanic for her fateful maiden voyage, their marriage fractured by bitter arguments and the painful inability to conceive. But as the ship plows into the North Atlantic, a dark web of international espionage, German sabotage, and betrayal unfolds around them. When Emily uncovers a sinister wartime plot, she pays the ultimate price—thrown into the icy depths before the unsinkable ship ever meets its doom.

1995: Brian and Sarah Edwards embark on the luxury liner Queen Elizabeth II, trapped in an equally bitter, childless marriage that is rapidly tearing them apart. But the ocean holds long memories. As the QE2 sails directly over the watery grave of the Titanic, a violent freak wave collides with the past.

In a mist of chilling sea spray, the ghost of Emily Woods reaches across the decades. What follows is a supernatural convergence that will blur the lines of reality, possess the living, and rewrite the destiny of two marriages separated by a century.

A gripping tale of historical fiction, espionage, and paranormal romance, The Death & Life of Emily Woods explores the enduring power of love, the lengths to which we go for family, and a spirit determined to live again.
