Lynden Williams & Bob Cooke

Lynden and Bob met in 1971. They performed live and recorded together in many Salisbury-based groups, including, Jerusalem, The Britz, The Men Of The Doomsbury Lifeboat, Footprints In The Snow, The Faith Healers, The Hubble Bubbles, The Spotty Dogs, Via Dolorosa, The Mummies, Turn Left At Pluto and OXOXOX.

Bob suffered two strokes in the first decade of the 2000’s, which affected his left hand and arm. Unable to continue playing guitar Bob concentrated his activities on his graphic artwork, and paintings. Unfortunately Bob died after suffering a third stroke in December 2024, just after he’d completed the artwork for this book.

Lynden continues to make music with a group which has recorded under several names, including, Zorbonauts, Deckchair Poets, Jerusalem and Zebras Don’t Smoke.

Lately they’ve revived The Spotty Dogs name.
